She grew up watching Action News and never imagined herself as a member of the Action News Team. She began working for the station in 1996 as a reporter and producer for the AM/Philadelphia show. Karen joined the AccuWeather team quickly and discovered her true passion for weather forecasting. Karen briefly worked at WHSP-TV in Vineland, NJ after graduation, where she anchored daily news cut-ins, interviewed politicians for her monthly show, Congressional Report, and hosted weekly talk shows.

Karen co-hosts FYI Philly, a weekly fun-filled entertainment show that airs on Saturday nights at 7 pm on 6abc, in addition to her role in news. Over the years, Karen enthusiastically participated in a number of 6abc special projects, including co-hosting Philly on Wheels, The Philadelphia Home Show, and the Miss America Preview Special. Karen also covers the 6abc Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 4th.
