Her debut album, Judy Cheeks, was produced by Ike and Tina Turner and recorded at Bolic Sound studios in 1973. She later toured with Ike and Tina Turner and also took on the role of Ikette. Cheeks moved to Germany in 1977 and recorded a song with Austrian singer Udo Jurgens. Their performance on “The Rudy Carell Show” made Cheeks a late-night hit in Europe. In 1978, his album “Mellow Lovin'” became an international hit, reaching No. 1 on the charts. It is ranked 10th on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. His 1978 album, Mellow Lovin’, was produced by Anthony Monn (known for his work with gay icon Amanda Lear) at Giorgio Moroder’s Musicland Studios in Munich.
