In 2006, Fox stated that Regan had interviewed O. J. Simpson, during which Simpson “confessed” to the acquitted 1994 murders. The so-called confession was supposed to air on Fox, and Regan was supposed to publish Simpson’s written confession as a book called If I Did It. After receiving significant criticism, News Corporation canceled both the book and the Fox Network interview with Simpson. The book was eventually published and became a #1 best-seller.
