Rush Biography
Joshua Rush is an political activist and actor from the United States who gained notoriety for portraying the first openly gay character on the Disney Channel, Cyrus Goodman, in the sitcom Andi Mack. In addition to receiving a lot of positive press and critical acclaim for his performance, Rush won a Young Entertainer Award in 2019.

Rush Family – Education
Rush’s parents, Adam and Beryt (née Kiselstein) Nisenson, were from Houston, Texas. His mother is a corporate documentary producer, while his father practices marriage and family therapy in addition to being a marketing strategist. He’s Jewish. Rush declared in December 2019 that he would be attending the Gallatin School at New York University. Instead, he attended the University of Utah, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2023.

Rush Where’s Waldo?
He voiced in Where’s Waldo? Twelve-year-old Wanderer Waldo enjoys creating inventions, gathering Wanderer keys for his tutor Wizard Whitebeard, and going on adventures with his best buddy Wenda. He and Wenda traverse the world and experience different cultures as members of the WorldWide Wanderer Society, often battling a juvenile villain named Odlulu who is scheming to get the Wanderer key and seize control of a particular region. Waldo’s magical hat, which can hold numerous useful items of different sizes despite its little size, helps him in this attempt.
In “Hang Ten in Tahiti,” Waldo is shown learning how to surf with a surfboard, and in “Big in Japan,” he ascends to the position of Go Hero Go leader. In “Chilling Out in Antarctica,” Waldo, a curious, joyous, compassionate, and upbeat Wanderer-in-training, poses as a penguin to fend off leopard seals. He plays “Catch-Woof-if-you-can” in “Mad About Madagascar” after adopting his dog, Woof. In “Toddle,” Waldo gets a taco for Fritz and sings a song for Woof.

Rush Andi Mack
In Andi Mack, Rush portrays Cyrus Goodman, the primary character. One of Andi’s closest pals is Cyrus Goodman. The first major Disney character to come out as gay is Cyrus. As with TJ, Cyrus is exceedingly patient and kind, hoping to find the best in everyone and give them a chance. Cyrus is incredibly unselfish and unceasingly helpful, sometimes to the injury of himself because he prioritizes the happiness of others over his own. People automatically like Cyrus when they get to know him, even though he might not be the strongest or trendiest boy at Jefferson Middle School. Buffy even claims it would take a monster to not be friendly to Cyrus.He is endearing, hilarious, and prone to exaggeration.
Cyrus experiences anxiety attacks and harbors several worries. In addition, he is prone to illness and injuries and is somewhat clumsy. Cyrus may be very self-deprecating, even though he doesn’t attempt to be like anyone else; he just himself. He struggles with his own self-worth and doesn’t think much of himself. But throughout the course of the series, he transforms from uncomfortable, bashful, and terrified of many things to surprisingly bold, confident, and forceful. He transitions from being terrified of his affections for a boy and what it entails to coming out as gay to his previous crush with pride and casualness. With TJ, Cyrus learns to advocate for himself and confront his concerns since TJ has complete faith in him and pushes him beyond of his comfort zone.
Even with the best of intentions, Cyrus isn’t always a reliable person; he told his mother Andi’s secret and gave TJ advice on how to get Buffy to do things. In addition, Cyrus is amiable and overly peaceful; he despises disagreement and simply wants everyone to get along, which causes him to ignore the causes of interpersonal conflicts. On the other hand, Cyrus fosters open communication among his pals, which frequently aids in problem-solving.
He obviously gets his therapist parents’ genes from the way he makes people feel at ease enough to open up to him and offers sound, sensible counsel. It is rare for him to be unaware of or suspicious of what is happening because he is observant and skilled at reading people and circumstances. Despite only being in middle school, he is already considering his college years.
