In 2002, Meyers made her official debut on MADtv as a featured artist during the seventh season. He would take over the position formerly held by David Herman and Pat Kilbane as the Spishak Spokesperson. Meyers was also well-known for his celebrity impersonations, which included Daniel Smith, the son of Anna Nicole Smith, Justin Timberlake, the rapper Eminem, and the actor Owen Wilson.

Josh is the only member of the MADtv cast who has a family member, whether they are related by blood or not, who also appears on Saturday Night Live. Meyers’s appearances on MADtv on Fox air precisely opposite his brother Seth’s appearances on Saturday Night Live on NBC. In a nod to this, Seth made an appearance on Weekend Update during the 28th season of Saturday Night Live. He told his father to switch off MADtv and give him his whole attention.

Meyers Red Oaks

Meyers appeared as Barry, the clubs videographer in the American comedy-drama television series Red Oaks. During his summer vacation in 1985, David, a college student, starts working at Red Oaks, a Jewish country club in New Jersey. With other subplots involving his friends, family, and coworkers, the show mostly centers on David’s life and the club. Under the backdrop of the New York–New Jersey region in the 1980s, the show examines issues including puberty, relationships, socioeconomic mobility, and the quest of happiness in a mainly comic manner.

Meyers That ’70s Show

Josh played the role of Randy Pearson on FOX comedy That ’70s Show. Randy symbolized the shift in thinking from the 1970s to the 1980s (when he started listening to Journey music), when he was still carefree but starting to exhibit yuppie characteristics. Randy comes across as a laid-back, kind, and courteous young man who is ladies man and old school when it comes to women. He is skilled with tools (as seen when he assists Red in building a sewing table for Kitty) and full of ideas (telling customers in the record shop that Leo is an Allman Brother to increase sales). But as the season goes on, some of his shortcomings become apparent. He admits that he dated a number of women before Donna.

His long, poofy hair is the major target of jokes from others, which he occasionally highlights by letting others refer to him as a girl and drawing parallels between his hair and the hair of female celebrities. Additionally, he makes jokes with Donna about how their relationship would be like her previous relationship with Eric—she acting manly and him acting girlish.

Randy enjoys playing in bands as well as managing them. He doesn’t play the drum kit that’s in his apartment. He has a dog as well. Randy talks about his grandmothers on occasion. One of them used to fill his piggy bank with money before she passed away, which made him upset when he broke it. The other grandma has polio and uses a wheelchair. His parents are divorced, he has no sisters, and his uncle is gay, among other known details about his family.

Meyers Behind the Candelabra
