Jonny McGovern is an American stand-up comedian, actor, musician, songwriter, and podcast host. He has written lyrics for a few of his own songs and released three comedy/dance-pop albums. He is a producer and writer, with credits including Hey Qween! (2014), Hot T (2015), and Look at Huh (2023).

He wrote the lyrics for many of her songs and recorded three song/dance pop albums (some of which were named after her alter ego “The Gay Pimp”). McGovern first appeared on television as a member of Logo’s late-night comedy sketch show The Big Gay Sketch Show (2011) and hosted the popular YouTube talk show Hey Qween! (2014-present) Nine seasons. The single’s success gained McGovern a following; In addition to commentating on various VH1 shows such as Totally Gay and 40 of the Dumbest Celebrity Quotes, The Weeknd also earned a place on Central’s all-gay comedy as his acting in Comedy. The Fringe show hosted by Alan Cumming. McGovern hosts his own YouTube show, Hey Qween, on StreamTV; Here she interviews a variety of celebrities, including drag queens, musicians, actors, celebrities, and celebrities who love the LGBT community.
From the series’ debut in 2014 to 2020, Hey Qween was accompanied by McGovern’s close friend and late icon Lady Red Couture until her death in mid-2020. Red Lady sings frequently on the show. For example, each episode ends with her singing and creating the song “Hey King, Hey King.” Ms. Reade and McGovern’s relationship is evident in “Hey Qween.” The first half of each episode is spent with the two talking, joking, and laughing together. Lady Red’s witty remarks and funny jokes are a big part of her guest interviews. In her honor, McGovern released a 3-song EP, Flowers (Songs for Red Lady), produced by Adam Joseph, in November 2020. McGovern has co-hosted a free weekly LGBT-themed podcast with Jonny McGovern, airing in Los Angeles since August 2010. It airs in New York.
