Christopher, Jonathan’s brother, used his short story “Memento Mori” as the basis for the film “Memento.” The film was a huge commercial and critical success. The screenplay for the mystery thriller film ‘The Prestige,’ written by Nolan and his brother, was released in 2006. Following this, the brothers collaborated once more, this time writing the screenplay for the 2008 film ‘The Dark Knight.’ The film went on to become the most commercially successful of the Batman films up to that point. In 2012, the sequel, titled ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ was released.
