Storyline

Storyline
A writer arrives at Chateau Rousseau to research and write a book about the Chateau’s history. Jenny is researching the hotel’s history when she hears a gunshot and discovers a body floating in the pool. She also comes face to face with the murder suspect, but she is unable to identify him due to her near-sightedness. The death could be related to past events, or it could be an attempt by Jacob Knowlton to have his sister Lucy murdered, leaving him sole owner of the hotel. With that, the story returns to other guest vignettes while still following Jenny and the other hotel staff. When a famous tenor came to serenade her, a once-famous opera singer was overcome with emotion and died. All of the hotel’s staff and guests break into her song. The miniseries’ story concludes when the writer receives an envelope containing a torn-up bar bill.
