Jon Reep Biography
Jon Reep is an American stand-up comedian and actor best known as the “That thing got a Hemi?” character in Dodge ads beginning in 2004. He started performing stand-up comedy at Goodnights Comedy Club.

Reep attended Fred T. Foard High School in Newton, North Carolina. In 1992, Reep transferred to North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated in 1996 with a BA degree in theatre, mass communication, and public and interpersonal communication.

Reep was born and grew up in Hickory, North Carolina. He has one younger brother named Jason. Their father, David, was the manager of a Goodyear store and a part-time police officer. Their mother, Betty, worked as a receptionist for Sprint, a local telephone company.
Jon Married- Wife
Reep married Genta Trimble on October 5, 2007, in Maui, Hawaii. In March 2013, his wife Genta Reep filed for divorce. After his divorce, Reep married his long-time lover Jodie Stidham Patterson on April 15, 2023.
Jon Career
Jon was hired by UNC Television as an assistant director on television programs such as “North Carolina Now” and “Legislative Week Review”, where he honed his skills as an evening anchor. In 1998, Jon left UNC Television to pursue a full-time career in acting. He traveled the country, performing at entertainment clubs and colleges in every state in the United States. In 2000, Jon was invited to perform at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and soon moved to Los Angeles, California to continue his work as a comedian and actor. As an actor, Jon played the role of tobacco farmer “Remus” in the movie “Harold and Kumar” and the goofy police officer Gerald Bowe in the ABC comedy “Rodney” Bo. He played a paramedic in the Disney Channel series “Good Luck Charlie” and the HEMI character in the popular Dodge Trucks commercial. As a comedian, he was the winner of the fifth season of NBC’s “The Last Comedian Standing.” “Jon Reep: Metro” Jetro”. He appeared on TBS’s “Pit Stop Comedy”, NBC’s “Late Friday” or CMT’s “Comedy Club” and “Comedy stage”.
