John Reynolds is an American actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. He is most recognized for his lead role in the television series Search Party (2016-2022) and his recurring role on Stranger Things (2016-present).

John Career

Reynolds began his career in Chicago at the age of 18. He also joined the group Kill All Comedy, alongside comedians Connor O’Malley and Gary Richardson. Reynolds says that his character Drew Gardner in The Detectives was based on his experiences growing up in the Midwest: “I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and I managed to become a guy that I knew in the Midwest.” Reynolds performed in the comedy show No Tengo Escuela with comedian Carmen Christopher at the Union Hall in New York City in 2023 and at the Soho Theatre in London (2016–2022), and in the main role of Stranger Things (2016–present).  Reynolds also starred in the miniseries Four Weddings and a Funeral in 2019. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, he began his career at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago.
