Gemberling Disney XD
John provided the voice of Doofus Drake for Disney in the 2017 DuckTales remake on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Friends with Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Doofus Drake made appearances in DuckTales and other Junior Woodchucks comics. He is a bigger, plumper duck with a voracious appetite. In DuckTales (2017 series), he is recast as an enemy.
Doofus is a fairly clumsy and dimwitted character who has an optimistic outlook and an appetite that never goes away. His devotion to Launchpad is almost insane; in many ways, the connection between Doofus and Launchpad is similar to that of Launchpad and Scrooge. He displays hero worship for Launchpad. Doofus is also distinguished by his strong moral compass, which is best shown in the episode “Superdoo!” where he uses extrasensory perception to save the Junior Woodchucks from certain death before willingly giving them up in the interest of diligence and camaraderie.
Doofus was once a dimwitted child, but during the 2017 reboot, his personality was transformed into that of a pampered and self-centered individual, turning him into a somewhat neutral figure. After the relaunch, Doofus developed into a rival of Louie’s, frequently tormenting and making fun of him, much to Louie’s dismay. Additionally, Doofus doesn’t lose his ravenous appetite throughout the reboot; instead, this time, his conceit and selfishness come first.
