Storyline
The best of friends Because their mothers grew up together and had a strong friendship, Elle Evans and Lee Flynn have been great friends their entire lives. Elle’s mother gets gravely ill when she is 11 years old, and she dies three years later. Elle’s crush on Lee’s elder brother, Noah, intensifies as she grows older, although she tries her utmost to suppress it. Lee and Elle are great friends, but after she falls and wounds her face, he walks in on them kissing. Lee accuses Noah of injuring Elle, and she lashes out at him, blaming him for their connection being exposed.
They reconcile after she forgives him, but the next day he abandons her to attend prom with his girlfriend Rachel. When she learns that he has been accepted to an Ivy League institution, she discovers their romance. Elle and Noah have been dating for a few months, but she isn’t sure if they will stay together. Storyline
Deputy Sheriff Jack Lamb and his 14-year-old son Joe mourn the death of their wife and mother Elizabeth in a job accident in 1979. Joe’s pal Charles is making a zombie film for a Super 8 film competition four months later. He enlists Joe’s assistance, as well as that of his pals Preston, Martin, and Cary, as well as Alice, Dainard’s daughter.
