Joe Wong is a Chinese-American biologist and comedian. He’s renowned for The Invention of Lying (2009), Anchor Baby, and Quiet Desperation (2010). Wong relocated to Boston in 2001 and began performing his comedy at All Asia Bar and Stash’s Comedy Jam.

Huang moved to Boston in 2001 and began performing at the All Asia Bar and Stash’s Comedy Jam. Despite receiving numerous awards, he did not make it to the country until his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman on April 17, 2009. His fame grew with his television appearances, aided by Ellen DeGeneres. Huang appeared on The Late Show for a second time on February 10, 2010, and again on March 30, 2012, for Back to Spring. On June 19, 2010, he won first place at the 3rd Annual Great American Comedy Festival. In 2013, he returned to Beijing to host the program “Is It Real?” (Chinese: “MythBusters”), a CCTV program similar to “MythBusters”.
