Jerry Carroll, an American comedian, lecturer, and farmer, lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. Carroll, sometimes known as The Willow Spring Wildman, is best known as a co-host on the television show “Amazing America with Sarah Palin”.

Career

In 1993, he debuted as a stand-up comic at Charlie Goodnight’s open mic night in response to a friend’s challenge. He won that night, as well as the four subsequent competitions. Carroll conducted 75 shows and cultivated roughly 1,500 acres of crops with his father and uncle in 1996, his final full-time farming year. In 1997, he resigned from his partnership in the family farm. In the mid-1990s, he hosted the radio show Wild Man Wednesday on WQDR-FM. He has a 100-acre soybean and oat farm and still works there. Carroll delivers 60-80 shows every year for agricultural organizations.

Carroll has frequently performed at Volvo Rents-organized events. In 2008, he appeared at Volvo Rent’s Hard Hat Comedy Show. The show produced one ton of food, which was donated to the MANNA Food Bank. In 2009, he appeared at the Volvo Rents Texas Comedy Night in Bryan-College Station. The proceeds from the show went towards Bryan-College Station Habitat for Humanity’s 20th Anniversary Home. Carroll spoke at the 2008 Governor’s Agriculture Conference and performed at the Eighth Annual Farm News Agriculture Show. Carroll also developed and starred in the comedic TV show Fishing For Laughs, which aired 13 episodes. He is currently co-hosting the Sportsman Channel series “Amazing America with Sarah Palin”.
