He has traveled throughout Colombia, reporting on the United States’ efforts to eradicate drug trafficking in that country. Kofman also reported extensively on the impact of the extended stalemate between the United States and Cuba. After September 11, 2001, Kofman served six tours in the Middle East: four in Iraq, one in the Arabian Sea during the Afghan conflict, and one in Pakistan.
