The series chronicles Dory’s pursuit of her college friend Chantal Witherbottom, the death of private investigator Keith Powell, and Dory and Drew’s trial for Keith’s murder.

The third season sees Dory denying involvement, leading to a media circus and a deteriorating sanity. The fourth season sees Dory’s abduction by Chip Wreck, a manipulative man obsessed with her. The fifth season continues Dory’s transformation into a cult leader, aided by a Big Tech Pharma business and a gang of social media influencer followers, as they search for a transcendent state of enlightenment.

Jeffery & Cole Casserole

He appeared on the American sketch comedy program that aired on Logo in 2009 and 2010 Jeffery & Cole Casserole. Casserole was totally recorded using a webcam and has a format similar to Self and Escola’s prior internet video skits. Each episode begins with Self and Escola doing an introductory sketch in front of a webcam, where they welcome the viewers to the show. The show then has a single major plotline that is interspersed with other short, unrelated comedy bits. Many of the show’s plotlines focus on an all-girls Catholic school, where Self and Escola play students. The unrelated comic segments tend to be absurdist. The show’s plotlines and brief parts are campy in nature.

Artists from New York City’s downtown performance art movement, such as Bridget Everett, Erin Markey, and Max Steele, who plays Jeffery and Cole’s classmate Becky, make brief appearances in the series. Performing artist and well-known gay singer Justin Bond plays Agnes, the principal of the school, in multiple episodes. Both British actor Christian Coulson and drag queen Pandora Boxx, who rose to fame on the reality series “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” have made appearances.

Career

Self has been on numerous television shows as a recurrent, featured, or guest actor. He and Cole Escola starred in the two-season sketch comedy series Jeffery & Cole Casserole, which aired on Logo TV. He wrote two humor books, Fifty Shades Of Gay and Straight People: A Spotters Guide, as well as the young adult novels A Very Very Bad Thing and Drag Teen.

He co-wrote, produced, and starred in the indie horror/comedy cult film You’re Killing Me. He was the host of MTV’s Scream: After Dark, a chat program including deleted scenes and interviews with the actors of the popular horror series Scream.
