For 14 years, she authored a weekly column titled “EatSmart” for Gannett’s Sunday supplement, USA Weekend. She has written on Alzheimer’s illness for The Huffington Post and created the independent documentary Monster in the Mind in 2016. Three of Carper’s books have made the New York Times bestseller list: Food: Your Miracle Medicine (1993), Stop Aging Now! (1995), and Miracle Cures: Dramatic New Scientific Discoveries Revealing the Healing Powers of Herbs, Vitamins, and Other Natural Remedies (1997).
Following the publication of Stop Aging Now, her fans encouraged her to create an all-in-one multivitamin based on her studies. In 1996, in response to public demand, she created Stop Aging Now!, a multivitamin anti-aging solution. She sold the company in 2007 and serves on its scientific advisory board. Her ability to effectively put findings into terms that the average person can understand has contributed to her career as a medical writer. Her health books have been translated into 20 different languages and are still widely marketed and read around the world.
