How did Jay end up in a wheelchair?
His wheelchair life began in 2019 after he had dialysis for kidney problems. While still alive, he shared less information concerning his struggle. On March 30th, he and his mom would go to a kidney transplant and donate a kidney to his son with his mother. JayWheelz wrote on his Facebook Wheelz to describe the struggles of his life in January 2020, saying sometimes he viewed life as a big match. He also said that he was knocked down so much in life that he could be in hospitals, with so many things. However, he always got up and still fights. JayWheelz said in earlier January 2020 that most of 2019 he spent on dialysis for problems with the kidney.
He continued to say that he would continue chasing his dreams to inspire others to chase their own dreams, but he said on his Facebook page, “Wheelchair, dialysis, nothing of this will defeat me slim.” In a similar post about the time JayWheelz said that his objective was to bring people up to the funniest guy on wheels.

His death was confirmed by his friend Patrick Cloud on April 18, 2020. Even though he died at the time of the coronavirus pandemic, it was confirmed that the pandemic was not the cause of his death. However, his cause of death was not revealed to the public for reasons not known.
