Shetty claims to have spent four summers in India interning at corporations and training with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, also known as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, as well as three years living as a Vedic monk at an ashram in Mumbai, India. Shetty began his career at Accenture, where he worked on digital strategy and as a social media coach for executives. Arianna Huffington noticed his work and hired him to produce videos for the Huffington Post.
