Feeney started her radio vocation completing a month and a half of work insight at Energy FM in New Plymouth at 15 years old. Over the course of the following two years, she assisted with station advancements. At a certain point, she gave $50 to noble cause to go on air with Heemi Slope on Radio Taranaki for thirty minutes, and wound up remaining on air for four hours.
