James Tobin Sunrise
Tobin was hired as Sunrise’s Entertainment Reporter in 2008, where he reported on the latest music and movie reviews. He took the place of Molly Meldrum and Jono Coleman. Sunrise is an Australian breakfast television show. It is now hosted by Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington on the Seven Network. The show airs from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., after Seven Early News. The Morning Show immediately follows.

Tobin joined the Seven Network in 2004, and from 2004 to 2008, he hosted the children’s game program Go Go Stop, which featured school students battling across a floor of plasma screens and answering multiple-choice questions.
He co-hosted Seven’s The Big Arvo in 2005 when he worked on-site and on set covering everything from cartooning to bull riding. He spent a week living and learning from an Aboriginal community in a remote Australian location. The series was canceled at the end of 2005. Tobin also began anchoring Allphone’s Eclipse Music TV on the Seven Network on Saturday afternoons at 12 p.m. in 2005.

Tobin presented weather on Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise for 30 days in a row from May to June 2011, while Denyer was on paternity leave. Tobin finished second to Firass Dirani in the Cleo Bachelor of the Year competition in April 2010. In addition, he is an ambassador for Father Chris Riley’s “Youth Off The Street’s Get Reel” program. James was revealed as the next host of Beauty and the Geek Australia in April 2013. Tobin joins Better Homes and Gardens in January 2020 as a broadcaster covering Motoring and Technology.
