James Cromwell is an American actor and activist best known for his roles in Star Trek: First Contact, L.A. Confidential, Deep Impact, The Green Mile, The Queen, W., Secretariat, The Artist, Still Mine, Marshall, and Emperor. He has also voiced characters in Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Big Hero 6. Cromwell has also appeared in several television shows, including Angels in America, Six Feet Under, American Horror Story: Asylum, Boardwalk Empire, The Young Pope, Counterpart, Succession, and Sugar.
