Jackie Nespral is an American television anchor for WTVJ, an NBC-owned and operated station in Miami. Nespral got her start in television as a spokesmodel for Sabado Gigante on Univision. She then joined Univision’s TV Mujer (or TV Woman) during its final season.

Career
Nespral began his entertainment and television career while attending the University of Miami; where she was named Queen of the Miami Orange Bowl in 1985 and 1986 and was inducted into the University of Michigan Iron Arrow Honor Society. After graduating from the University of Miami, Nespral earned a master’s degree in broadcasting and journalism at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Nespral began his television career as the voice of Univision’s Sabado Gigante. She later joined the cast of Univision’s TV Mujer (or TV Woman) for its final season. After TV Mujer was canceled in 1990, he was chosen as one of the hosts of Univision’s national news program Noticias y Mas (News and More), which was the leader of Primer Impacto (First Impact). He also worked for Cuban-American channel TV Marti and Dynamic Cablevision affiliate CNN Miami.
In 1991, Nespral moved to New York to co-host NBC’s “Today” weekend with Scott Simon, becoming the network’s first Hispanic news anchor. In 1994, Nespral returned to Miami and was named host of Miami’s NBC O&O station, WTVJ. It currently hosts the station’s 17:00, 17:30, 18:00 and 23:00 broadcasts. Nespral is a board member of the March of Dimes and the University of Miami. She is also involved with the Columbia Women’s Center, the Child Development Center, and Amigos for Kids. During her career in television news, Nespral has received four Emmy Awards, an Easter Seal Award, and an Honorable Mention from Women in Radio and Television. She also took the keys to the University of Miami and the racketeering solution.
