He covered Alabama politics, including the scandal that led to Governor Robert Bentley’s resignation, ongoing disaster recovery operations, and, of course, Alabama football. A Telly Award was given to his documentary about famous Alabama football coach Gene Stallings. Jack began his professional broadcasting career as a live high school football broadcaster for 97.7 The Peach WHPH, where he won the Alabama Broadcasters Association’s Judges Award of Merit for Best Small Market Sportscaster in 2012.
