In 2012, while working as a broadcaster, Jack received the Alabama Broadcasters Association’s Judges Award of Merit for Best Small Market Sportscaster. He serves as a mentor to current students. Prior to becoming an evening co-anchor, he worked as a Multimedia Journalist & Reporter at CBS 42, where he covered numerous stories that received national attention. Prior to joining CBS 42, Jack was an anchor and reporter at WVUA 23 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he became the state’s youngest nightly news anchor at the age of 19.

He covered Alabama politics, including the scandal that led to Governor Robert Bentley’s resignation, ongoing disaster recovery operations, and, of course, Alabama football. A Telly Award was given to his documentary about famous Alabama football coach Gene Stallings. Jack began his professional broadcasting career as a live high school football broadcaster for 97.7 The Peach WHPH, where he won the Alabama Broadcasters Association’s Judges Award of Merit for Best Small Market Sportscaster in 2012. Jack organizes and hosts fundraisers for a variety of local organizations and non-profits.
