Ian Harvie is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is most recognized for his role in the television series Transparent. Harvie started his stand-up comedy career in January 2002 at a small comedy club in Portland, Maine. Three months later, he started performing at a sister club in Boston, Massachusetts.

Career
Harvey began her stand-up career in January 2002 at a small club in Portland, Maine. Three months later, she began performing at a sister company in Boston, Massachusetts. Harvey moved to Los Angeles, California, in June 2006. Cao cast Harvey as a regular in the Off-Broadway revue Sensual Woman. In April 2007, Harvey began producing and hosting his own comedy/talk show, The Ian Harvey Show, at the Los Angeles music and comedy club Largo. The format of the show is similar to other evening shows, but the guests are all LGBT or part of the LGBT community. Past guests on the show include Margaret Cho, Leslie Jordan, Jane Lynch, Alan Cumming, Jorja Fox, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Kimberly Peirce, Rex Lee, Selene Luna, Jenny Shimizu, Buck Angel, Garrison Starr, Sabrina Matthews and Erin Foley.
From October 2006 to October 2009, Harvey toured with Margaret Cho and performed in concerts around the world. In 2007, Wisecrack took part in Logo as part of the Outlaugh Festival. In 2009, he reprized his role as Logo in “One Night Up” Episode 6 and worked alongside Byron Allen on the 2009 season of ABC’s late night drama Comics Unleashed. In November 2009, Harvey launched his solo career. In April 2010, his one-man show “Magnetic Eyes”, focusing on gender and sexuality, was performed at the International Comedy Arts Festival in Melbourne, Australia. New solo exhibition “Balls OUT” held at SketchFest, San Francisco, California. In September 2010, Harvey formed a group of three actors, Felon O’Reilly and Amy Dresner. Their reunion show, Laughing Without Drinking: We Don’t Believe, toured the United States. The show and tour are being produced by filmmaker and director Bobby R. Poirier, with a release date scheduled for summer 2011.
