She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Duke University in 1993. Morris is one of four anchors for the morning newscast, which runs from 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and the Good Day DC show, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. She was well-known at the station for her early morning remote reporting on community events, where she frequently took part in the events she covered.
