Holland rose to prominence with his Fashion Groupies T-shirt designs prior to the launch of his own company. Holland’s 1980s-inspired T-shirts featured slogans like “I’ll tell you who’s boss, Kate Moss.”

Holland designed a line of T-shirts that were worn by Gareth Pugh and Giles Deacon as they took their bows at the end of their runway shows during London Fashion Week in September 2006. Gareth Pugh appeared to take a bow at the end of his show wearing a T-shirt with the words “Get Yer Freak on Giles Deacon,” while Giles Deacon wore a T-shirt with the words “Uhu Gareth Pugh” printed on it later in the week. Holland later designed a full collection and established his own fashion house, “House of Holland,” in 2008. He is well-known for his collaborations with model Agyness Deyn. Levi Strauss & Co. debuted a denim collaboration with Holland in 2009. Later that September, Holland negotiated a deal with the British retailer Debenhams to create a fashion line called “H! by Henry Holland,” which was eventually sold in Debenhams stores beginning in spring 2010.
