Hayes MacArthur is an actor and stand-up comedian fron the United States who in the comedy series Angie Tribeca on TBS, he starred.

MacArthur Family – Education

MacArthur is a son of Bruce and Shelley MacArthur. William F. Farley is a businessman and his stepfather. Actor and writer Scott MacArthur is his younger brother. MacArthur’s initial name was inspired by the actress Helen Hayes, his great-aunt, who was the wife of Alexander MacArthur’s brother, Charles. John D. MacArthur, the other brother of his grandfather, established the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, which provides funding for the MacArthur Fellowships.

He was also an executive and owner of an insurance company. MacArthur played quarterback for the football team at Brunswick, Maine’s Bowdoin College, where he earned a B.A. in government. He attended Deerfield Academy. He received training at both the Atlantic Theater Company and the Groundlings Theater Company.

In December 2007, MacArthur got engaged to his three-year girlfriend, Heroes actress Ali Larter. At his parents’ Kennebunk, Maine, estate, MacArthur wed Larter in a modest ceremony on August 1, 2009. It was revealed that the couple was expecting their first child on July 20, 2010. Larter was born in 2010 and MacArthur in 2015. Their daughter was born in 2015. MacArthur has appreared as Det./Lt. Jason “Jay” Geils in the American television sitcom Angie Tribeca. After ten years of service in the Los Angeles Police Department’s prestigious RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit), detective Angie Tribeca is paired with fellow detective Jason “Jay” Geils. Every episode follows a different criminal case that the LAPD must investigate and resolve. The show is full of irony, quips, one-liners, and visual humor.

Midway through 2014, TBS launched a ten-episode series that was marketed as a parody of police procedurals. A second season debuted in June 2016 after the first one debuted in late 2015. In July 2016, the show received a third season renewal; Bobby Cannavale joined the cast for the fourth season, which aired in December 2018. Originally scheduled to debut in late 2015, the series was later moved to video on demand.

In the 2003 Rebels of Comedy Competition, MacArthur won. He has made appearances on TV shows like Medium, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Mad TV, and Pushing Daisies. The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend is a 16-minute short film that MacArthur co-wrote, co-produced, and performed in with Jason Winer in 2005. In 2006, the short was created as a TV pilot. In the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where everyone picks Larry’s wife over him following their breakup, he also made an appearance as a waitress. In addition to costarring with fiancée Ali Larter in the National Lampoon comedy Homo Erectus, MacArthur made a humorous cameo in the Disney film The Game Plan in 2007.

He has supporting parts in the 2010 motion pictures She’s Out of My League and Life as We Know It in addition to regular roles on the television series Worst Week and How I Met Your Mother. MacArthur’s casting as the lead actor of the television series Perfect Couples was revealed by NBC in May 2010.
