Guillermo has mixed emotions about his desire to turn into a vampire after learning that he is descended from renowned vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing and demonstrating his exceptional expertise at killing vampires. Guillermo becomes Nandor, Nadja, and Laszlo’s bodyguard due to his prowess as a vampire hunter. He comes out to his family as gay, but at the same time he tells them about his wish to turn into a vampire, which makes Nadja want to hide his confession from them.

Along with energy vampire Colin Robinson, traditional vampires Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja live together in a house on Staten Island that is kept up by Nandor’s buddy Guillermo. The vampires constantly battle the outside world, other supernatural creatures, and/or one another, and Guillermo makes a sincere effort to strike a balance between his commitment to Nandor and his desire to become a vampire, which is made more difficult by the fact that he is descended from the vampire hunter Van Helsing.
