Lloyd also appeared in the Best Picture-nominated film The Theory of Everything as Stephen Hawking’s fictionalized roommate Brian, alongside Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne and Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones. Lloyd co-created the web series Supreme Tweeter in 2015, in which he plays a fictionalized version of himself. The following year, he co-starred with Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy in the epic war film Anthropoid as Adolf Opálka. In addition, he appeared in the ITV series Marcella. He returned to the stage in the role of the protagonist in John Malkovich’s production Good Canary at the Rose Theatre. In 2017, he filmed for the role of Peter Quayle in J. K. Lloyd was cast as a young Charles Xavier in the third season of the FX series Legion in 2019, replacing Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, both of whom had previously portrayed the character in the X-Men film series, with the former being approached about reprising the role in the series before the series’ creative direction changed. Later that year, it was announced that Lloyd would play Bernard Marx in Brave New World as a series regular.Lloyd voiced Viktor in the Netflix animated action-adventure series Arcane in 2021. Lloyd portrayed Brian McNally in the Audible original podcast series The Miranda Obsession in 2022, and Z in the video game Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
