Greg Fitzsimmons is an American stand-up comedian, actor, podcaster, and Emmy-winning television writer. Greg has been hosting a radio show on Howard Stern’s Sirius/XM channel since 2006, as well as his own twice-weekly podcast, Fitzdog Radio.

Greg’s father was a New York City radio and television celebrity who was one of the first presenters of Good Day New York and hosted the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon from 1973 to 1989.

Fitzsimmons made his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1996. That same year, he began hosting MTV’s Idiot Savants, which won the CableACE Award for Outstanding Sports Special or Series. Greg was a writer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show for the first three seasons, for which he received one nomination and four Daytime Emmy Awards. In a 2010 interview with Howard Stern, Fitzsimmons described the workplace as “toxic.” these accusations.

Greg was a regular speaker on Vh1’s Biggest Week from 2004 to 2009, making over 40 appearances, most recently at Chelsea from 2010 to 2014. Fitzsimmons was a regular guest on the Howard Stern Show in the late nineties and early 2000s. He was the last candidate to replace Jackie Matlin following her departure, and the job eventually went to Artie Lange. In 2006, Greg began hosting The Greg Fitzsimmons Show on SiriusXM’s Howard 101 channel. He was banned from the channel in 2011 for anti-Semitic comments about Stern.

Fitzsimmons has toured the United States as a guest speaker and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Tonight with David Letterman, Tonight with Conan O’Brien, and the Jimmy Kimmel Live Wait for shows. In 2013, the one-hour special “Stage Life” premiered on Comedy Central. Fitzsimmons hosts the comedy podcast Fitzdog Radio. The show features interviews with artists, musical guests and performers. Listeners are encouraged to call throughout the show. Guests include Zach Galifianakis, Leslie Jones, Whitney Cummings and Judd Apatow. As of August 2023, the show has aired over 1,000 episodes.

He also hosts The Sunday Papers with partner and producer Mike Gibbons (“Gibby”) and Childish with singer Alison Rossum. Fitzsimmons started his career writing wrong things with Bill Maher. From 2003 to 2005, he wrote and produced The Ellen DeGeneres Show ; She received a nomination and four Daytime Emmy Awards for this program. He has also written for Cedric the Entertainer, The Man Show, The Wanda Sykes Show, Lucky Louie, and most recently HBO’s Crash.
