Bigelow was born in Pittsburgh and raised in the neighboring suburb of Mount Lebanon. After leaving Pennsylvania in 1989, she began her comedic career by performing stand-up in New York clubs like The Improv, Carolines on Broadway, and Gotham comedic Club. She has since performed at comedy clubs and festivals all around the world, as well as appearing on television and in films. From 2008 until 2013, she appeared on the AfterEllen series Cherry Bomb. She hosted the pre- and post-shows for the inaugural annual NewNowNext Awards on the Logo channel and was nominated for the “Brink of Fame” award in 2009.
She has written for Last Comic Standing and performed as a contestant. She was featured on OutTV’s Hot Gay Comics in 2009.
