He began his post-graduate education in astrophysics at the University of Minnesota while working as the chief meteorologist for KARE-TV in Minneapolis after three years in Florida.

Glenn received numerous accolades during this time, including the Minnesota Teacher’s Award for a weather education series that included students, teachers, and KARE-TV. Weather School ultimately grew out of that program. Glenn joined WSB-TV in 1981 and resides in Marietta with his wife, Susan. Glenn has received multiple accolades at WSB-TV, including Best of Atlanta, Best of Cobb, Best of Gwinnett, Associated Press Weathercaster of the Year, and numerous Emmy nominations.
