In the series Evermoor and The Evermoor Chronicles, Farmer plays Jake Crossley. Jake, Tara’s younger brother, is the youngest member of the family and a hilarious—though occasionally annoying—practical joker. Ludo, the eccentric village child, and Jake get along well since they both have an interest in strange things.
Since they never really had much to do with their original father and would now be considered part of their stepfamily, Jake and his sister Tara went to England after his mother married an Englishman. Their name was changed to Crossley. It is said that after his mother married an Englishman, Jake and the rest of his family moved to America.
Soon later, though, they returned to England and settled on Evermoor. Like the majority of his family, Jake was initially apprehensive about relocating to Evermoor. Jake quickly made friends with Ludo, the son of the housekeeper, who showed him all of Evermoor’s secrets and marvels. Living under one roof, the two of them spend the season together unraveling the mysteries of Evermoor. This leads to the two quickly becoming great friends.
A rivalry with Lacie Fairburn is sparked by high-jinks between Jake and Ludo in Season 2. They often engage in practical joke competitions with Lacie. After a stressful night at Ludo’s birthday celebration, Jake leaves London and returns to Evermoor. The season explores how their relationship changes from one of antagonism to one of romantic infatuation. Lacie, Jake’s closest friend, turns into a ghost, and their animosity only intensifies.

In the Netflix series Wednesday, Farmer portrays the bashful gorgon student at Nevermore Academy named Ajax Petropolus. Wednesday on Netflix follows Ajax Petropolus, a hot student at Nevermore Academy, who is also the main character. He is also the boyfriend of Enid Sinclair. Ajax plays for Xavier Thorpe’s squad in the Poe Cup, the “Amontillado,” and is a member of the Nightshade Society.
Though shy and introverted, Ajax stays away from social interactions and is close to Xavier Thorpe and Enid Sinclair. He shows off his lack of people skills by stabbing himself in the mirror. Enid herself informed him she wasn’t afraid of getting stoned by him, so it appears he’s accepted the hazards associated with his power.
When Ajax recognizes Lucas Walker as Enid’s date, he shows signs of desperation and becomes sympathetic to her. Additionally, he provides support to his companions in times of need, such when Wednesday needed the Nightshades to apprehend and question Tyler. Thing stays behind to ensure that all of the pupils leave the academy before Crackstone is brought back to life when Enid goes with him to save her. Following the fight, Ajax and the others watch Enid, who is hurt after taking out Tyler in her first “wolfing out.” Ajax shows her his newfound chivalry and protection over his fiancée, even if he’s been taught otherwise, as they embrace and he holds her close.
