Fox is a meteorologist that works for Fox News in the United States. He has worked for more than 30 years, including 27 years at WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut, where he began in 1984 and served as senior meteorologist until 2011. Later, he worked as the weekday 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. meteorologist for WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut. He also hosted a garden section called “Geoff’s Garden” and reported science and technology stories for the 4:00 p.m. broadcast. He began working as a meteorologist for the television station WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut, in May 1984, where he was elevated to “senior meteorologist.” While still working for WTNH, he began anchoring the Syfy show Inside Space.

After 27 years at WTNH, Fox learned that his contract would not be renewed in 2011, and he resigned. Due to the loyalty of WTNH viewers and his long tenure with the station, his resignation from WTNH gained national media attention. He was hired by Fox station WTIC-TV in April 2011 to do weeknight weather and science broadcasts. Fox was fired after 19 months for “inappropriate conduct,” according to the broadcaster. Fox lost roughly 2000 Facebook followers as a result of the issue. Later, he founded an Internet-based website design and development firm. From early 2015 to September 2015, Fox worked as the nighttime meteorologist at KMIR-TV NBC 36 in Palm Springs.
