From 2014 to 2015, he starred as Ethan Taylor in the CBS drama-thriller series Stalker. Outcast, Robert Kirkman’s Cinemax horror drama series, has cast him. He played Joshua Austin in the series from 2016 to 2017. He appeared as a guest star in episodes of Your Family or Mine, Wicked City, and Code Black. In 2016, Bateman co-starred with Teresa Palmer in James Wan’s supernatural horror thriller Lights Out.
He played Carter Hughes in the Netflix family comedy Benji. He portrayed Wyatt McKenna in the Amazon Prime Video comedic drama series The Dangerous Book for Boys.
