Freddie Foxxx is an American rapper and record producer from Long Island, New York. Foxxx started rapping in the early 1980s. He is an actor and composer best known for Philadelphia (1993), WWE Raw (1993), and Who’s the Man? (1993).

Career
Foxxx started rapping in the early 1980s. In 1986, he recorded “You Gotta Come Out Fresh / Handling Things” as a member of the Supreme Force (other members were Cool Cee and Easy E) on NIA Records under the identity Freddie C. Later in 1986, he was supposed to meet with producer Eric B., who was looking for an MC to collaborate with; however, Foxxx did not show up, and Eric B. ended up collaborating with MC Rakim to form the group Eric B. and Rakim. Despite this, Foxxx’s debut album, Freddie Foxxx Is Here, was totally produced by Eric B. and Foxxx and released in 1989 via MCA Records.
Foxxx became more well-known for his cameo appearances on songs by Boogie Down Productions, Naughty by Nature, M.O.P., and O.C., most notably on Gang Starr’s The Militia off their Moment of Truth album (1998). The song was released as a single, generating interest for Foxxx and helping him prepare for his next full-length album. he utilized what he’d learned from past experiences with large record labels and went independent.
