Melamed Biography
Fred Melamed is an actor, comedian, and writer from the United States who rose to prominence in modest cinema roles and as a voice actor. In addition to acting in In a World… (2012), Hail, Caesar! (2016), and Shiva Baby (2020), he rose to stardom as Sy Ableman in A Serious Man (2009). Melamed started her career doing voiceovers for Woody Allen movies.

Melamed Family – Education
The result of a brief romance between British psychologist Stan Silverstone and actress and director Nancy Zala, Melamed was born in Queens, New York. Louis Melamed, a Manhattan television producer, and his wife Syma (Krichefsky) Melamed, a part-time actress and housewife, adopted him. They were a secular Jewish family. Luther and Stella Adler, members of the well-known Adler acting family, were related to his biological father.
He went to Riverdale Country School and Hunter College Elementary School, which is a primary school for exceptional kids. His family faced financial troubles when he was sixteen, and they were forced to relocate to Hollywood, Florida. Melamed has stated that, except from attending a cousin’s bar mitzvah, he was reared in a non-religious Jewish home and never visited a synagogue. He refused to go to Hebrew school when requested, therefore he never received any religious instruction.
Melamed Wife – Children
In 2013, Melamed relocated to Los Angeles with his twin kids and wife Leslee, following many years of residence in the Hamptons hamlet of Montauk, N.Y. The Melamed couple has been actively involved in advocating for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families since both of their children were diagnosed with the condition. In 2021, Melamed and his spouse separated.
Adventure Time
In Adventure Time, he gives Gumbald’s voice. In Adventure Time season 10, there is a character named Gumbald, who goes by the nickname Punch Bowl. He is a former gum person that Princess Bubblegum transformed into a punch bowl to serve as “Uncle” to both her and Neddy. “Susan Strong” and “Hot Diggity Doom” mention Gumbald, while “The Enchiridion!” introduces him as the Punch Bowl. He later makes cameos in a number of episodes and appears in “Holly Jolly Secrets Part II” and “Bad Timing”. The novel “The Thin Yellow Line” opens with Gumbald being violently thrown into prison by Princess Bubblegum. In “Three Buckets,” he makes his first real appearance. He gathers Fern’s bones and inquires as to whether the boy would prefer an uncle.
He is revealed as possibly being as good a scientist as Princess Bubblegum in “The Wild Hunt,” but he is not given a proper name until “Bonnibel Bubblegum.” One of the primary adversaries in “Come Along With Me,” the series finale, is Gumbald. In the Dream Realm, he makes apologies with his niece before Lolly transforms him back into Punch Bowl. After that, Lolly ascends to the throne of Gumbaldia.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
On Brooklyn Nine-Nine, he played Terry Jeffords’s favorite author, DC Parlov. The volumes in The Skyfire Cycle are written by D.C. Parlov. Although Jake was assigned the case due to death threats, the 95th Precinct was handling it so Terry could meet his idol.
Jake appears on TV in Skyfire Cycle as a result of receiving death threats from his male admirers. He has an assistant who reads fan letters, and he believes one of his dragon characters is female. Jake and Terry’s mission in Return to Skyfire is to track down the person who stole his most recent manuscript for his next book. They think Landon Lawson stole it so he could post it online. Terry, a Parlov enthusiast, gives Jake a peek at his fantasy book. They learn that Parlov and Lawson used their rivalry as a front to plot and steal their books. Terry apprehends them after learning about the scheme.
One of the show’s primary characters is Terry Crews’ Captain Terrence “Terry” Vincent Jeffords. He becomes a Lieutenant after beginning his career as a Sergeant. He assumes command of the 99th Precinct as captain in the series finale. Former linebacker Terry is a self-professed family man who loves his three girls and his wife Sharon. He first fears going back to the field, but he gets over this dread and turns his feelings against his loved ones. Terry helps out on cases and tends to the detectives when they are ill or hurt, viewing himself as a “proud mama hen” to the group.
WandaVision
Melamed played “Arthur Hart”/Todd Davis in WandaVision. Todd Davis is a resident of Westview. He became Arthur Hart, the Director of Computational Services Inc., and Vision’s supervisor after the Westview Anomaly. Sharon and Todd Davis called Westview, New Jersey home. Wanda Maximoff imprisoned Davis in the Hex in 2023, where he took on the persona of “Arthur Hart.” They arranged for Arthur and his spouse, Mrs. Hart, to have supper at the Vision Residence.
Wanda Maximoff learned the real meaning of the night as she crept in wearing a nightgown. Though Vision stayed with the Harts to keep them entertained, they started to get hungry and bored. Mrs. Hart questioned them about their past, but they were unable to respond. Arthur knocked over the table and lost consciousness. After using his abilities to break free Arthur from his neck, Vision and his spouse departed from the residence. Arthur committed to discussing a promotion with Vision first thing on Monday morning.
Superstore
He appeared as Richard Simms, Jonah’s father. In the end, he and his wife Marilyn get a divorce. Jonah cheated on Marilyn with his secretary Shelley while they were attending a private middle school, leading to their breakup. However, they subsequently reconciled. But when he carried on with his affair with Shelley decades later, Marilyn divorced him a second time.
Amy is tricked by Mateo into serving an elderly couple who talk about their medical school-bound son, Jonah. Jonah admits to lying to his parents about his employment out of panic and throws his store vest away. Amy finds out about Jonah’s embarrassing childhood anecdotes, such as being duped into swimming in a hotel pool without clothes and combing through the hair of a horse figurine. Jonah is treated like a worker by Glenn, but Amy strikes him in the face. Marilyn sobs as Jonah confesses to having worked at the business for three years. When Richard learns that Jonah doesn’t run the store, he collapses to his knees. Amy raises worries when she defends Jonah’s falsehood by bringing up his fiancée, an actress. When Richard spotted the actress at the airport, he realized she wouldn’t give him an embrace.
