O’Loughlin was emceeing cabaret performances at the Araluen Arts Centre and writing a column for the Centralian Advocate in the early 1990s. She was hosting a weekly radio segment on ABC in 1994. In 2000 she showed up at the Adelaide Periphery Celebration.
