Who plays Benedict Munsinger? Better Call Saul
He portrays Benedict Munsinger, a judge at the courthouse in Better Call Saul. He brings Kim Wexler into his office after spotting her skulking about his courtroom. She tells him she works for Mesa Verde as a solo practitioner and no longer represents HHM. The judge argues that “once in a lifetime” cases exist “only in the movies” and that she is not the first attorney to attempt to rediscover her passion of the law by “trolling” his courtroom. The judge then brings up a case that turns out to be the main line for “The Verdict” (1982). He threatens to employ her as a public defender if she doesn’t continue with her lucrative career in business law and return to work.
Nevertheless, Kim is seated in the audience when Munsinger returns to his courtroom, and he eventually hires her as a public defender, launching Kim’s new profession. Later on, he makes an appearance as the Huell Babineaux case’s judge. He demands to know if ADA Suzanne Ericsen is prosecuting Santa Claus after receiving scores of letters supporting Huell from Coushatta, Louisiana—which were really orchestrated by Jimmy McGill. Ericsen and Kim are told to resolve the matter instead of turning his courtroom into a circus.
Star Trek: Voyager
Fans of Star Trek are familiar with Phillips from his role as Neelix in all seven seasons of Star Trek: Voyager. In addition, he appeared in Star Trek: First Contact as an uncredited appearance as a holographic maître d’ and portrayed two distinct Ferengi roles, one on Star Trek: The Next Generation and another on Star Trek: Enterprise.
Neelix was a 24th-century hybrid who was predominantly of Talaxian (also one-eighth Mylean) descent. When the USS Voyager was drawn into the Delta Quadrant in 2371 by the Caretaker’s array, he boarded the ship. He worked as the ship’s chef, morale officer, trade negotiator, “ambassador to the Delta Quadrant,” and navigator during Voyager’s seven-year journey through the region. He also developed close friendships with many crew members and was an invaluable part of the stranded Starfleet crew. He was described as “without a doubt… the most versatile member of our crew” by Commander Chakotay, who oversaw the ship’s personnel. (VOY: “Caretaker” , “The Cloud” , “Macrocosm” , “Fair Trade” , “Homestead” )
A young man named Neelix was raised on the most temperate moon in the system, Rinax, which is a moon of the Talaxian homeworld. He was living close to the marshlands of Rinax, which had the warmest summers in the region. Neelix spent two years working with an orbital tether team before deciding to forgo military duty because of the Haakonians’ conflict with the Talaxians. A metreon cascade that the Haakonians unleashed on Rinax in 2356 claimed the lives of almost 300,000 people, including his family. Talax delivered himself over to the Haakonian Order the day following the cascade.
Neelix departed the system to live on when his family perished and his homeworld was destroyed. He worked as an engineer’s aide on a Trabalian freighter, served on a mining colony, and lived for six years on a Talaxian garbage scow.He was barely out of the scow when a theta radiation field rendered the spacecraft unusable. Neelix was a trader as well.
Criminal Minds
In the “A Real Rain” episode of Season One, Phillips played the psychotic vigilante serial killer turned spree killer Marvin Doyle. Marvin Doyle, also known as “The Vigilante,” was a psychotic vigilante and serial killer turned spree killer who made an appearance in “A Real Rain,” a Criminal Minds episode from Season One.
Doyle, an obsessive-compulsive disorder sufferer, was employed as a court stenographer in courtroom 103 in New York City. On August 2, 2004, his parents, Albert and Gail, were shot and killed during a robbery carried out by an unidentified assailant. Their son discovered their remains later in their bedroom. His parents’ life insurance policies paid him $250,000, but he refused to collect the check since he didn’t like how they passed away.
Having attended the trials of several criminals who were, for a variety of reasons, found not guilty, Doyle felt it was his duty to exact revenge on them, as his delusions and some of the evidence he saw clearly led him to regretfully think that they were all lying. This led to the killings of Kaveh Surrani, who was found not guilty of vehicular manslaughter, and Rachel Holman, who was cleared of deadly poisoning.
Doyle is a well-known serial killer who is observed killing people who have been cleared of domestic violence at his apartment. When the BAU looks into the killings, they first believe Doyle to be an omnivore. Nevertheless, they look into any connections between the victims after realizing they are planned. They learn that Doyle is a vigilante following the death of Father Patrick Breeman.
Doyle’s employment allows the investigators to learn about his relationship to every victim. Ted Elmore is spared from Doyle’s attempted murder by Hotch and Gideon. But a police sniper shoots Doyle, shocking the public. Following his passing, there was a split in New York society’s views: some praised Doyle’s contributions, while others thought he should have died.
