In 1999, he produced and starred in “The Error Bomb,” a hip-hop and Shakespearean adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors.” The play has performed Off-Broadway in New York, London (West End), Chicago, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Florida, Philadelphia, St. Louis and worldwide. In 2002, Weiner was invited to be a member of the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriting Lab. He made his film debut in 20th Century Fox’s romantic comedy Brown Sugar, starring Sanaa Lathan, Taye Diggs, Mos Duff and Queen Latifah. Weiner portrayed Dragon in the 2005 HBO series Unscripted, directed and executive produced by George Clooney. Weiner’s music video for “Shawshank Minute”, directed by John Landis, won the 2006 Best Researched JibJab Award. Hal Goldberg composed the score, which won the Barrymore Award for Best Play and the 2007 Award for Best Original Score. He was nominated for.
