Calandrelli shot the show while nine months pregnant. She has written the Ada Lace chapter book series to introduce young people to science and technology, as well as the picture book Reach for the Stars (2022), which was illustrated by Honee Jang. According to Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) documents, she is a paid influencer for the propane industry.
