Elisabeth Moss Biography

Elisabeth Moss is an actress from the United States. Vulture dubbed her the “Queen of Peak TV,” and she has won numerous awards, including two Primetime Emmys, two Golden Globes, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Elisabeth Moss Family – Education

Moss is the daughter of musicians Ronald Charles Moss and Linda Ekstrom Moss; her mother is a professional jazz and blues harmonica player. Moss has one younger sibling. She was brought up as a Scientologist. Her father is a British citizen. Her mother is of Swedish ancestry.

She traveled to New York City as a child to study ballet at the School of American Ballet, and then to Washington, D.C. to study with Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center. She continued to study dance throughout her adolescence, but she also began to get acting roles. She began homeschooling in order to manage her education and career, and she graduated in 1999.

Elisabeth Moss Husband

She met Fred Armisen in October 2008, and they married on October 25, 2009, in Long Island City, New York. They separated in June 2010, and Moss filed for divorce in September 2010, which was finalized on May 13, 2011.

Elisabeth Moss The West Wing

She played Zoey Bartlet on The West Wing. President Josiah Bartlet and First Lady Abigail Bartlet’s youngest daughter is Zoey Bartlet. She graduated from Georgetown University.

According to Abigail Bartlet, Zoey is always her father’s daughter, and during her recovery from her ordeal, Charlie expresses how she can’t bear letting Jed down. Zoey strives to forge her own identity, but because she lives so close to the President (geographically), she struggles more visibly than her sisters. However, as the series progresses, and especially as Zoey grows older and experiences college life, she gains confidence and begins to emerge from her father’s enormous shadow. Despite her apparent willingness to assist her father’s political activities, Zoey clearly adores their farm in rural New Hampshire and everything it represents. Zoey is a devoted daughter, expecting her father and Charlie to accept Jean-Paul because she adores him and, at least once, lying to C.J. to cover for a friend who was struggling with drug addiction.

As befits a person who grew up in the political spotlight, Zoey is an excellent reader of others, though this skill betrays her in the case of Jean-Paul.

Elisabeth Moss Net Worth

She has an estimated net worth of $30 million.

Elisabeth Moss Mad Men

She starred in Mad Men as Peggy Olson. Margaret “Peggy” Olson is a Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency employee who begins as Don Draper’s secretary.

Peggy starts at Sterling Cooper, fending off advances from both Pete and Paul (who later nicknames Peggy “Mouse Ears”). Joan later tells Peggy that she is upset that Peggy told her that Don may be sleeping with other women and that keeping Don’s secrets is part of the job. Peggy is brought in to try out a “weight loss” device, which is a plastic belt shaped like a woman’s pantyhose with a control box and an electric cord. She tries it one day and discovers that it has little effect on weight loss but produces a lot of stimulation.

Elisabeth Moss The Handmaid’s Tale

She appeared as Offred in Hulu’s adaptation of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’. Offred is the protagonist’s patronymic name in The Handmaid’s Tale stories. She is a thirty-year-old woman who is forced to work as a Handmaid in the early years of the Republic of Gilead because she is still capable of bearing children. She is the former wife of Luke and the mother of a young daughter in all narratives; she later begins a relationship with a Guardian named Nick, for whom she develops romantic feelings. She recounts her life to an unseen audience in both the novel and the show’s voiceovers, before, during, and after the creation of Gilead.

Elisabeth Moss Her Smell

She appeared as Becky Something, lead singer and guitarist of Something She in the 2018 American drama film Her Smell. The story is told in five distinct scenes, punctuated by home movie footage from Something She’s early career. Becky Something, the lead vocalist, goes backstage to attend a ceremony with her personal shaman in the first scene. The third scene takes place after the Akergirls have achieved fame and Becky is preparing to open their show. Although it has been 11 years since Howard signed Something She and four years since they last performed together, they have reunited to perform a single song.
