Ed Helms is an American actor and comedian. He worked as a correspondent for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from 2002 to 2006. In the NBC sitcom The Office, he portrayed paper salesman Andy Bernard. In the Hangover trilogy, he played Stuart Price. Later on, he co-wrote and performed in the comedic series Rutherford Falls.

Rutherford Falls
Helms has appeared as Nathan Rutherford, who runs the town’s heritage museum and is a descendant of the town’s founder in the American sitcom television series Rutherford Falls. The show centers on Nathan Rutherford and Reagan Wells, two lifelong friends who encounter difficulties when a crisis strikes their made-up town. Reagan balances her allegiance to her buddy and the Minishonka Nation, while Nathan fights to preserve a statue of his ancestor.
During the colonial era, there are attacks associated with Rutherford’s ancestor. Terry Thomas, the CEO of the Minishonka casino, is vying for power on behalf of his family and people in the meantime. The program compares the perspectives of a marginalized and white community on Native American heritage and preservation in order to expose prejudices towards Native Americans in society. It does this by using humor, jokes, and irony. The comedy, sarcasm, and lightheartedness of the program are immediately apparent.

In The Office, Edward portrays Andy “Nard-Dog” Bernard. Ed Helms plays the fictional character Andy Bernard in the comedic television series The Office on NBC. At the Dunder Mifflin branch in Stamford, he is presented as the Regional Director in Charge of Sales. Later, he is promoted to Regional Manager at the Scranton office. Throughout the ninth season, Andy’s relationship with CEO David Wallace deteriorates, which eventually results in his voluntary resignation, reinstatement as a salesman, and firing once more. In “Livin’ the Dream,” Andy utilizes his immoral behavior to further his singing career, which finally results in his termination.
A character from the television show “Couples Discount,” Andy Helms, exhibits conceited and haughty attitudes and is insecure as a result of his parents’ troubled relationship. He has a sycophantic attitude toward superiors and a fondness for dramatic singing. He first dates accountant Angela Martin, then Erin Hannon, the receptionist. But in the ninth season, the relationship breaks down and ends in “Couples Discount” as Erin loses patience with Andy’s disregard and conceit. While Helms was praised for his portrayal, opinions of the character were divided; Vulture called him one of the most irritating TV characters of 2011, while Nerve thought he was the second funniest.
