Dwayne Perkins is an American stand-up comedian. Perkins’ filmography includes Recycled Babies (2013), Funny You Should Ask (2017), and Jesus Is My Co-Pilot (2009). He has been on Conan, Comedy Central, and as a regular correspondent for The Jay Leno Show.

Perkins began performing at Harlem’s Uptown Comedy Club. After graduating, he relocated to Boston in 1994. While playing at The Comedy Studio in Boston in 1999, he was discovered by Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and he made his television stand-up comedy debut on that show in July of the same year. During this time, he also performed in the New Faces of Comedy segment at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal. In 2003, Perkins relocated to Los Angeles. He has stated that his key clubs in the area are The Comedy & Magic Club and the Laugh Factory. He has also performed at the Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Ice House.
Perkins has stated that he aims to appeal to large audiences rather than tightly defined segments. His first theatrical experience was in front of primarily black audiences in Harlem, followed by a period of playing before predominantly white audiences in Boston, and he attributes both experiences to influencing his approach. He has also stated that he prefers subtle content over confrontational techniques. While he does incorporate stuff regarding race in his act, he has stated that it is not the primary emphasis of his humor.
