Doug Williams is an American comedian from Montgomery, Alabama. Doug is the first Black comic to conceive, host, and produce their own stand-up comedy series.

Doug Career
So Doug first took the stage at a comedy club in Huntsville, Alabama and found his calling. His feud often revolved around his relationships with women and his life, making him a favorite on BET’s “Club Comic View” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” He appeared on “The Comedy Central Show Doug Williams.” Doug also guest-starred on “The Bernie Mac Show” and “Good for Home.” He starred in the movie “Trails” with Billy Dee Williams and Lynn Whitfield.
Doug was the first Black actor to create, host and produce his own stand-up comedy special and the first hit series on the Starz Network. Martin Lawrence hosts First Amendment Stand-Up. This evening show features an all-star cast of American legends, big names and some of the most popular comedians in town. The show ran for five consecutive seasons, in addition to reruns by Ken Jeong from The Hangover and Sheryl Underwood from The Talk. “First Amendment Stand-up” is the #1 show on the list. The show, which has been #1 on Starz for five years, is paving the way for other original series like “Boss” and “Spartacus.”
Doug continues production on “Way Black When” for the TV One Network. The award-winning video, released during Black History Month, showcases African American art, music and performance through the lens of black music, film comfort and television from the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Doug is currently the co-founder of DNA Media Productions with his wife Ada Luz Pla-Williams. They have several projects in development. They are currently the founders and co-founders of The Work with Doug Williams. Today’s AD is a fast-paced performance created for the “YouTube” hybrid culture audience. The show features skits, celebrity guests, jokes and today’s most popular music.
