Doug Ferrari is an American stand-up comedian and comedy writer. Ferrari gave his first stand-up performance at The Comedy Store. Shortly thereafter, in 1975, he co-founded the High Wire Radio Choir, a musical comedy group.

Career
Ferrari had its first performance at The Comedy Store. Shortly thereafter, in 1975, he formed a musical group called High Wire radio choir. They released a single, Teenage Mutant Love, in 1979 before disbanding in the early 1980s. Ferrari won the demonstration competition in San Francisco in 1984. Over the next several years, he performed up to 500 shows a year, collaborating with celebrities such as Jerry Seinfeld, Drew Carey, Robin Williams and Bob Hope, as well as artists such as John. Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Elvis Costello and. Warren Zevon performed on the same stage as Sun Ra. He also appeared in Paramount Comedy Theatre, Vol. 2: Good View, VH1’s Stand-Up Spotlight, MTV’s ½ Hour Show, and a guest spot on Her Best.
Ferrari’s career ended in the mid-1990s, when he struggled with mental illness and drug addiction. After being homeless for a while, he started treatment in 2000 and returned to acting. Since returning to acting, Ferrari has helped the homeless. She starred in #BeRobin, a 2015 documentary about Margaret Cho helping the homeless and inspired by Robin Williams. She has also recorded for other audiences, including Jay Leno, Rodney Dangerfield, and Will Durst.
