Donal Skehan Streetwize
Skehan became interested in music at a young age. He joined the global/international boy band Streetwize in 2006, alongside Irish Lee Mulhern (later known as Lee Matthews), English Lee Hutton, and Swedish Jonathan Fagerlund. The original members went on tour in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Sweden, and they appeared on the US cable television station CN8, where they sang “Room in Your Heart” in a morning show presented by Greg Coy. Skehan and Jonathan Fagerlund became dissatisfied with the band’s growth and quit early, being replaced by Venezuelan Antonio Jones and American Kyle Carpenter. Without any hits, Streetwize eventually collapsed.

Skehan started a blog called Good Mood Food in 2007 and has since published a cookbook. He made a lot of appearances on television and gave live demonstrations at social events and shows. On May 16, 2011, he started his own weekly food show, Kitchen Hero, on RTÉ One. Home Kitchen Hero – Bringing Cooking Back Home, a cookbook based on the television series, was published by him in 2011. In 2012, a Christmas special and a second season aired. Industry had success in the Irish charts, topping the Irish Singles Chart with “My Baby’s Waiting” in June 2009 and the Irish Singles Chart with “Burn” in August of that same year.
