Soon after, she teamed up with Jordan Galland to form the band DOMINO, which released an EP with Mark Ronson and toured for three years with Gang of Four and Lily Allen. Tiny Furniture, an indie film directed by Lena Dunham, also featured the band. Galland’s video for their song “Green Umbrella” won Best Musical Form at the 2006 Da Vinci Film and Video Festival.
Domino, Timo Ellis, and Jorge Elbrecht produced “The Guard,” which was recorded in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Domino became a doula in 2009 and co-founded Carriage House Birth, a doula business collective. In November 2021, she and entrepreneur Joanna Griffiths will publish Life After Birth: Portraits of Love and the Beauty of Parenthood, a book about postpartum mothers’ experiences.
