At the age of fourteen, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His cancer was declared to be in remission following two years of treatment. Qualls claims that receiving chemotherapy at a young age increased his metabolism and stunted his growth, explaining his thin build.

Supernatural

In Supernatural, Qualls played Garth Fitzgerald IV. In the episode “Time for a Wedding!” from Season Seven, the Winchester family first meets Garth Fitzgerald IV, a former hunter who has transformed into a werewolf. After Michael invaded, Garth was summoned from retirement to help gather intelligence about the latter’s monstrous army. After Garth was granted archangel grace, Michael used his power to dominate him and made him snap at his buddies. Garth stopped hunting, went back to school, graduated, and started his own dental office.

Garth was born in Warsaw, Missouri, according to the database maintained by the British Men of Letters. Brandon, Garth’s cousin, was a ghost who stayed connected to Earth even after his ashes were incinerated. Frank was another cousin of Garth’s who passed away recently, although the two of them had once constructed something. It’s never made clear exactly what.

Bobby responds to Garth’s appeal for assistance on a case he’s working by saying, “It doesn’t sound like a vampire.” Garth hangs up and phones one of Bobby’s fictitious FBI lines after he tells him to call the FBI with a tip. Bobby gets angry when he finds out that Garth called him rather than the FBI.

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad’s Getz is portrayed by Qualls. Detective Getz, an Albuquerque police detective, busted Badger for having Blue Sky meth in his hands while posing as an undercover investigator. Getz, an undercover police officer, deceives Badger into selling him methamphetamine, leading to Badger’s apprehension. When Getz tries to get Badger to confess, Saul Goodman, his attorney, shoos him away.

Later, Getz participates in a sting operation with Hank Schrader and the DEA in which an ex-convict called James Kilkelly is charged as Heisenberg; this is all part of a plot by Walter White and Saul Goodman to keep the police from looking into Badger and perhaps revealing White’s participation.

Legit

In the American sitcom Legit, Qualls played Billy Nugent, Steve’s talkative and frequently sly brother with muscular dystrophy who attempts to maintain his independence as much as possible. Along for the ride is Australian comic Jim Jefferies, who meets up with his friend Billy Nugent, an individual paralyzed from the chest down due to muscular dystrophy.

Billy resides in an assisted living facility, and both his brother Steve and roommate pay him frequent visits.Billy asks Jim and Steve to take him to a brothel in Las Vegas so he can get over his medical condition, which could end up killing him. Jim decides to break Billy out of his room at the care facility after observing how miserable Billy is, but his actions actually make Billy’s living conditions worse.

Billy, a man who has muscular dystrophy, and his friend Jim set up a video dating service, and Jim falls hard for Renee. Billy’s mother, Janice, is not happy with their living situation, and they have to go to court to explain a robbery and assault on a residence. Ramona, Jim’s girlfriend, is in need of direction. Jim employs a trainer, but unintentionally undermines it by reintroducing drugs and alcohol. Janice lives in a home cluttered with stuff, while Billy and his father reside in a tent.

Billy and the inhabitants of the care facility strive to stop Jim from being successful despite his volunteer work. Jim is accused of trying to rape an attractive actress that he encounters. When Steve’s ex-wife moves their daughter to a different state with her new partner, he gets depressed. Billy’s virgin Wendy shows up at Jim’s door and says she’s the father. Janice finds it hard to believe her grandchild’s mother is a prostitute.
